How do I log a catch?
Tap the log button, snap or skip a photo, and confirm — most catches log in under 5 seconds and about 3 taps. Species, size, and location can be added in the same flow or edited later. Speed is the whole point: log the fish, release it, get back to casting.
Does CastLog work without cell signal?
Yes. CastLog is built to work fully offline — log catches, save spots, and view your journal with no signal. Everything syncs automatically once you're back in range. Your best fishing is usually out of range, so the app is designed for exactly that.
Is it free? Is there a paywall?
Core logging is free — you won't lose access to your own catches behind a paywall. We're an early-access app validating with real anglers, and core journaling stays free.
Are my fishing spots private?
Yes. Your spots are private by default. There's no social feed pushing your locations to strangers, and your best water stays yours. Your spots took years to find — CastLog keeps them that way.
How do I get access?
iOS early access is available through TestFlight — join here. You can also add your email on the home page to hear about the full launch.
How do I delete my account or data?
Email anthony.smith1760@gmail.com from the address on your account and we'll permanently delete your account and associated data. We'll confirm once it's done.
